Balanced
and Healthy Diet:
Include variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and fewer processed foods in
your diet. Eat whole grains and high-fiber foods and choose leaner cuts of
meat, fish, and poultry to maintain health. Stock up with all the healthy
snacks to stay away from various lifestyle diseases. Keep drinking water at
regular intervals, so that you don’t de-hydrate yourself. Limit your refined
carbohydrate rich foods like cookies, chocolates, honey and white rice, this will
increase fats in your body.
Physical
Workouts: Women
need not more than an hour of health and fitness training. Choose an exercise
pattern according to your own convenience. Add walking or running in you routine
which will help to tone your entire body or just do a 10 minutes treadmill

Alcohol and Smoking: Smoking
in any amounts has a detrimental effect on bone density. Alcohol intake of
greater than 3 ounces per day (or about 2-3 typical drinks) has been shown to
increase bone loss. So, stay away from cigarettes and people who smoke. Don’t
use drugs. If you drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Alcohol and smoking can
be very harmful for pregnant women and their baby.
Distress Yourself : ‘Laughter is the best medicine’, so take out some
time from your busy schedule and laugh out loud or just stay happy, your body
will release feel good hormones and this will kill the villain stress hormone
cortisol. Make time for hobbies and interests.
Be safe
in the Sun : Sun safety is not just for vacations, it should
be done regularly. Various products are available in market to stay safe from
harmful sun rays which protects your skin from skin cancer. Consult with doctor
as soon as you find any changes in the size, shape, color, or feel of birthmarks,
moles, or freckles, or new, enlarging, pigmented, or red skin areas.
Health Checkup: Women should
have a general health check-up every year. This helps in staying
healthy and identifying symptoms of various diseases such as breast cancer, cervical
